    The Spanish Monarchs command a member of the Royal Council to execute their orders

    King Ferdinand and Queen Isabella of Spain Document Signed. One page, 8.25" x 5.5", in Spanish, November 24, 1483, to Fernando Manrique, a member of the royal council, in full and in translation: "We have spoken to Count de Cabra concerning several matters relating to our Court, about which he will tell you. We direct you to give him your complete good faith and to put these matters into execution, as we rely upon you." Docketed on the verso. Lightly soiled with mounting remnants on the verso. Housed in a five page, 11.5" x 15.5" portfolio of purple cloth over boards with titles in gilt on the front cover.

    That same year, the last Muslim king in Spain, Muhammad XII of Granada, known in Spain as Boabdil, with a force of 10,000 attacked the town of Lucena. The Count de Cabra arrived with a Castilians and captured Boabdil and had him imprisoned.
