    Kevin W. Kelley [Editor]: The Home Planet Book Signed by Thirty-Nine Astronauts and Cosmonauts, Directly from the Personal Collection of Astronaut Rusty Schweickart, Signed and Certified. (Reading, Massachusetts: Addison-Wesley Publishing Company, 1988). Foreword by Jacques-Yves Cousteau and Preface by Russell L. Schweickart. First edition with dust jacket. A gorgeous oversized (10.25" x 14.25") book featuring a collection of 150 superb examples of space photography with accompanying text by the multi-national members of the Association of Space Explorers. Schweickart was the founder and past president of the Association of Space Explorers (ASE), a non-profit professional and educational society of astronauts and cosmonauts currently totaling over 350 members from thirty-five countries, all who have completed at least one earth orbit in space. "ASE's mission is to provide a forum for professional dialogue among individuals who have flown in space, support space science and exploration for the benefit of all, promote education in science and engineering, foster greater environmental awareness, and encourage international cooperation in the human exploration of space." (from their website This book was their first publication. Schweickart has signed in gold on the beautiful color frontispiece: "Rusty Schweickart/ Enjoy!/ From my Personal Collection". Excellent condition.

    Tipped onto the first free endpaper is a special sheet bearing the autographs of the thirty-nine ASE members in attendance at the fourth Planetary Congress, held in Sofia, Bulgaria on October 5, 1988.
