    John Jacob Astor Promissory Note in his favor. Two pages of a sheet, 5.75" x 3.25, New York; July 19, 1813. Tipped into a larger sheet to the overall size of 8" x 5.25". A promissory note in the amount of $12,947.62 made out to Astor, who has endorsed the note on the verso, "John Jacob Astor."

    Condition: Some staining can be seen along right margin from adhesive used. Creas at top left corner. Age-toning. Pencil annotation on verso.
