    John Hart Signed Currency Note. 4" x 2.25". New Jersey, March 25, 1776. Hart, one of the signers of the Declaration of Independence, signs this currency note "No. 5557", valued at six shillings. Countersigned by J. Sturm and Jno. Johnston, with an interesting note on the verso which reads, "To counterfeit is Death."
    Condition: Wear resulting from use in circulation, and age toning.
