    Description

    John Hancock Document Signed as Governor. One page, 6.5" x 8", Boston, Massachusetts; July 2, 1782. A partially printed page that directs "Col. Wm Burbeck and the Officers and the Men borne on the annexed Roll for Service...from Oct 25 1781 to April 1782 the Sum of Twelve hundred eighty two pounds and nine pence in full..." Countersigned by John Avery as Secretary and Henry Gardener as Treasurer. Twice mounted to larger documents, measuring 8.5" x 11" overall. Boldly signed, "John Hancock."

    Condition: Partially erased pencil notation to recto. Gently rubbed and toned from age. Minute foxing. 1" open tear to upper left corner.
