John Glenn Typed Letter Signed Regarding His "Medical Difficulty". Signed "J H Glenn, Jr." One page, 8" X 10.5", January 15, 1965, Seabrook, Texas, to Tiberiu Vlad at a Romanian address. He thanks the recipient for his kindness and thoughtfulness and then writes: "I am very happy that my medical difficulty of the past year has been completely resolved and I am again getting underway with a number of activities." Glenn retired from NASA in January 1964 and announced his candidacy for the U.S. Senate from Ohio. In February, he suffered a concussion and went on convalescent leave from the Marine Corps until his full recovery, needed for his retirement. He retired from the Marines as a colonel fifteen days before the writing of this letter. Light wear, very fine.
