John Glenn Philatelic Covers and Program Signed. There are three signed items in this lot: (1) a Project Mercury First Day Cover cancelled at Cape Canaveral February 20, 1962 (Glenn's Friendship 7 launch date) with a plate block of four U.S. 4¢ stamps (Scott # 1193), signed (quite faded): "To Marshall Beverley John Glenn". (2) A United Nations Fleetwood cover commemoration Glenn's visit to the United Nations on March 2, 1962, signed "John Glenn". (3) A ceremony program (one vertical fold and some light soiling) from the Friendship Veterans Fire Association dated February 17, 1975 at which Senator Glenn was the guest speaker, signed on the front: "To Marshall- sorry you could not be with us today John Glenn". Also included are two Project Mercury 20th Anniversary commemorative presentation folders from the Postal Commemorative Society. Excellent except as noted.
