    James Nicholson Autograph Civil War-Dated Letter Signed. Two pages, 6.5" x 8", Houston, August 11, 1864, referring to a wounded foot, a regimental company that "behaved brutally," and the "imprudent Confiscation Act," along with thoughts on how to end the Civil War in six months. A tape-repaired tear to the top right corner. Some discolored tape remnants around edges. Minor separation at one fold.
