    James Garfield Cabinet Card Signed "J. A. Garfield", Accompanied by a James Garfield Signature as president ("James A. Garfield/ June 8th, 1881"). The cabinet card (a formal partial profile portrait, 4.25" x 6.5") is signed in the lower margin of the image and stamped on the verso by E. Bierstadt of New York. The accompanying signature is on an autograph album leaf (6.75" x 4") and dated only one month before the president's assassination. Minor staining and foxing.
