James Buchanan Autograph Letter Signed, "James Buchanan". One page, 6.5" x 8.0", Lancaster County, Pennsylvania, July 1, 1867, to William Henry. This post-presidential letter was written from Buchanan's home, "Wheatland", and reads, "I have received your kind letter informing me of the death of our friend Dr. Jones. He and I have been on terms of personal and political friendship for many years and I was greatly attached to him. He was, indeed, an excellent man. I was much gratified to learn that he spoke of me in kindness during his last moments. Peace to his ashes! I shall ever cherish his memory. Thank God! I have recovered from my last severe attack of Rheumatica gout; though I am still lame. I rejoice to learn that your daughter Sallie has recovered from the attack of...fever. Ever my kindest regards to Mrs. Henry. I remain sincerely & respectfully, your friend". Very Fine condition. Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
