Orville Wright Signed Photograph. 6 x 4 ¼ inches (sight), no place; no date. A black and white printed photograph of the first manned flight at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina on December 17, 1903. It is signed at the lower left corner, "Orville Wright".

Following the death of his brother Wilbur in 1912, Orville carried on their work. He built an aeronautics laboratory and dedicated himself to developing and inventing aeronautical devices and equipment. He also stayed active in the public eye, promoting aeronautics, inventing, and utilizing such marketing tools as the image offered here. It has been handsomely matted and framed with photographs of both Wright brothers and 3 plaques to the overall size of 28 ½ x 16 ¼ inches.

Condition: There is a two-inch crease at the top left, as well as a few other minor creases throughout. Light soiling and spotting. Wilbur's name is misspelled on the plaque below his photo. Not examined out of the frame.
