    J. Robert Oppenheimer Autograph Letter Signed To His Aunt. One page written on the recto and verso, on The Institute for Advanced Study letterhead, 5.5" x 6.5", Princeton, New Jersey, May 29, 1963, to Mrs. Hedwig Stern (his aunt), Berkeley, California, with the original transmittal envelope. A personal letter to his aunt, filled with news of Oppenheimer's upcoming Hitchcock Lecture on the Atomic Bomb and intimate details of his wife and children. It reads in full:

"Dear Hedwig, Just a note, before the summer comes, to send you my love & good wishes. I not do have plans to come again to Berkeley, to give the Hitchcock Lectures, for three weeks, starting about April 21. We are as well as should be; Kitty finally has some relief from her attacks. Toni is at Oberlin, & likes it; Pete is slowly turning himself into a professional photographer. It will be sweet to see you, even if so long from now. Love, Robert 5/29/63". A bold, bright letter with the usual fold creases, otherwise it is in fine condition.
