    Harvey Cushing Typed Letter Signed "Harvey Cushing." One page, on Yale University School of Medicine letterhead, 6.75" x 8.5", New Haven, August 1, 1939, to Dr. Ernst P. Boas, New York. Dr. Cushing agrees to write a letter recommending Dr. Theodor Bauer for a position at Tulane School. Dr. Harvey Cushing (1869-1939) was an American neurosurgeon and a pioneer in the field of brain surgery. He died a month after writing this letter. Dr. Ernst Boas was an American physician who developed the cardiotachometer.

    Condition: With old smoothed folds and light toning to paper.
