    Dr. Richard Bright Autograph Letter Signed "Richd Bright." Four pages of a bifolium, 4.5" x 7.25", London, November 2, 1855, to his daughter Emily. In part: "Mama & Clara...come down to a hasty breakfast in the study. Then retreat to their own rooms till all my home patients have disappeared - then take possession of the dining room...Now I must go as my carriage is at the door & poor lad [illegible] has sent to hasten me. He is I fear very ill..." Richard Bright (1789-1858) was an English physician and an early pioneer in the research of kidney disease.

    Condition: Old smoothed fold creases. Light toning to paper.
