    Document Concerning the Early Production of American Silk. 8" x 4.25", Ashford [Connecticut], July 24, 1792, signed by Justice of the Peace Isaac Perkins, Jonathan Hayward, and Sarah Crane regarding "one pound & five ounces of . . . Silk properly Dryed & wound from the Bollsr Cocoons." For this, Sarah was to receive a payment of "Three Shillings & 6 pence" from the state of Connecticut. Toned with smoothed folds.
