    Harry S. Truman Signed Form Donating $1500 to the Cooperative for American Remittances to Europe, Inc. One page, 7.25" x 10.25"; Washington, D.C.; May 7, 1946. A remittance form for $1500 (check not present) for 100 food packages to be delivered "To the Heads of European States in which C.A.R.E. operates for distribution to 100 needy people." Signed, "Harry S. Truman." Together with a newswire photo of Truman taken on July 9, 1948 at the White House. Typed AP caption on verso. From the Estate of Malcolm S. Forbes.

    Condition: The form has light creasing, with a chip at top left corner. Photo has some age toning and dinged corners, with newsprint visible along bottom that is affixed to verso and folded over to front.
