    Description

    Verdi's Trovatore

Giuseppe Verdi Autograph Musical Manuscript Signed "G Verdi." One leaf of music, 13" x 10", n.p., September 26, 1869. The brief musical manuscript (seventeen bars) is entitled "Trovatore", likely a small part of Verdi's four-act opera Il Trovatore. The opera's premier occurred in Rome in 1853; it remains a popular opera staple today. One small tear at the upper edge and small tears along the bottom margins, with some paper loss; otherwise, very clean with a large, bold Verdi signature.
