Geronimo Signed 1904 World's Fair Postcard. Scarce signature"Geronimo" in pencil on the verso of a 1904 St. Louis Postcard, 5.5" x 3.5", featuring the Tyrolean Alps of Germany. Geronimo attended the Fair as a prisoner, and personally signed this postcard for Swiss businessman M. Grimmer, who enthusiastically wrote on the postcard "I met Chief Geronimo!" Grimmer's handwriting is in the old S├╝tterlin style of German blackletter cursive, common in Switzerland and other Germanic countries at the turn of the century. The postcard is accompanied by a signed letter of provenance by the agent who obtained the postcard directly from the Grimmer family.
