    Description

    George Washington Signed Three Languages Ship's Passport. Single sheet, 13.25" x 16.25"; issued at Providence on December 26, 1795. A ship's passport printed in French, English and Dutch, issued to James Rhodes, commander of the schooner Nancy. Also signed by Timothy Pickering as Secretary of State. Matted and framed with a color print of Washington and a biographical plaque to an overall size of 31.25" x 26.25".

    Condition: Age toning with light dampstaining at right and left margins. Flattened folds with light creasing. The document has moved off center in the frame.
