    Description

    George Washington and John Pershing Clipped Signatures. Two clipped signatures, the first measures 2.125" x 0.25", and is signed "George Washington." The second measures 3.25" x 0.625", and is signed "John J. Pershing." Neither signature has a noted date or place of origin. Both were clipped from larger letters or documents and are sealed together in an archival slab. Authenticated by PSA/DNA. Washington and Pershing are the only two men to achieve the highest U.S. Army rank of General of the Armies. Washington was awarded the position posthumously, while Pershing achieved the appointment following his leadership in World War I.

    Condition: Light toning to Washington page, with some minor smudging to the end of the signature.
