    Description

    George Bush Check Endorsed on Verso together with an Autograph Note Signed as Chairman of the Republican National Committee. A check, 8.25" x 3", June 4, 1974, for five dollars made payable to "Mr. George Bush". Check is endorsed by Bush on verso and reads, in full "George Bush pay to order of Republican National Committee". Ink is bold with a single smoothed vertical crease through the center.
    Bush's handwritten note is on RNC imprinted note card, 6.25" x 4", written on recto and verso. Bush served as Chairman for the RNC from 1973-74 amidst the Watergate scandal. Note is addressed to collector and reads in full: "Thanks for your letter. Here's the cover letter back - signed!! The check will go to help our party work..." Some light staining along top and smoothed creases through the center. Ink remains strong. Also a signed FDC, 6.5" x 3.625". Bush writes in full "George Bush Chairman Republican National Committee 6-11-74". Age toned but in otherwise excellent condition.
