DescriptionGeorge A. Caron Autograph Letter Signed and Signed Photograph. Two pages, 6" x 9", January 20, 1980, to Bill Wood discussing the Confederate Air Force, of which Caron was a member, and their B-29, Fifi, and the tour in which the plane went on as well as an additional B-29 located in California. With the letter is a 3.25" x 4.25" photograph of a young Caron in uniform, mounted to a backing board to an overall size of 5" x 7". He has signed the board below the photo.
Caron was a technical sergeant and member of the crew of the Enola Gay the day the atomic bomb was dropped on Hiroshima, Japan, August 6, 1945.
Condition: Upper left and lower right corners of the letter are cut. One smoothed vertical fold. Toning along the upper edge and staple holes near the upper left corner.
