Gemini 3 and Gemini 5 Crew-Signed Navy Recovery Force Covers. Three items, as follows.
    (1) An addressed Gemini 3 philatelic cover with a stamped "Project Gemini/ U.S. Navy Recovery Force" cachet, cancelled March 23, 1965, aboard the U.S.S. John Paul Jones. Signed: "Gus Grissom" and "John Young", both in blue ink. This was the first two-man American space mission.
    (2) A similar cover with an Orbit Covers cachet and naval ship label on the front and the recovery force stamp on the verso. It is cancelled on the U.S.S. Intrepid, the actual recovery ship. Not signed. Has light traces of a removed address label.
    (3) An unaddressed Gemini 5 philatelic cover with a stamped "Manned Flight U.S. Navy Recovery Force" cachet, cancelled August 29, 1965, aboard the U.S.S. Lake Champlain (the actual recovery ship). Signed "Gordon Cooper" and "Charles Conrad Jr." Also bears a stamped image of JFK with the words "We Shall Reach the Moon". This mission set an endurance record of seven days, twenty-two+ hours.
    All excellent, except as noted.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
