Franklin D. Roosevelt Typed Letters (2) Signed and dated only months before his inauguration in January 1929 as the governor of New York. Both are written to Stephen L. Mayham. In the first letter (one page, 8.5" x 11", New York City, August 16, 1928, on Democratic National Committee stationery), Governor-Elect Roosevelt asks Mayham to "send me what you had in mind in the way of material." Roosevelt, in the second letter (one page, 7.25" x 10.5", n.p., September 10, 1928, on Roosevelt's personal stationery), thanks Mayham for the material and wonders why "those in charge of the Republican campaign have no knowledge of the sort of statements they are getting out, such as you enclose . . . if I were manager of the Republican headquarters I would trace down every such piece of literature and publicly denounce it." Both letters contain large, bold signatures of the future president.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
