    Franklin D. Roosevelt Typed Letter Signed as Assistant Secretary of the Navy. One page, 7" x 9.25", April 28, 1913. Addressed to Senator Clayton L. Wheeler. In it, Roosevelt informs Wheeler he cannot endorse Charles R. O'Connor for U.S. District Attorney for the Northern District of New York because he has already endorsed another man. Signed, " Franklin D. Roosevelt."

    Franklin D. Roosevelt Typed Letter Initialed as Governor of New York. One page, 8" x 10.5", Albany; March 30, 1931. Addressed to Arthur Carpenter. In it, he thanks Carpenter for a newspaper clipping he sent. Initialed, " F.D.R."

    Condition: Two file punch holes to one and pencil notation to verso of other. Smoothed folds.
