Franklin D. Roosevelt: Typed Letter Signed (Stamped) as President.

FDR writes, in part, " During the present war period it is important that we try to avoid unnecessary hardships such as were experienced by farmers and others during and following the first World War. By adopting suitable safeguards now, many of these hardships can be averted...I cannot emphasize too strongly the need for a continuation of this constructive policy by the Farm Credit Administration and its cooperating borrowers." Included is a June 23, 1942 Typed Letter Signed by Wickard to A. G. Black of the Farm Credit Administration in Kansas City, Missouri. Wickard sends the above FDR letter and suggests "...that you make it available to each borrower." Roosevelt signature mechanically signed.

Historically interesting letter to A.G. Black, Governor of the Farm Credit Administration, from Secretary of Agriculture Claude R. Wickard, dated June 23, 1942 on Department of Agriculture stationery. Secretary Wickard writes: "Dear Mr. Black:/ I know that the Farm Credit Administration for some time has been urging farmers to use their excess income and any idle funds they have on hand to reduce their long-term indebtedness on their farms. I am sure that borrowers from the Federal land banks and the Land Bank Commissioner will be interested in the attached letter from President Roosevelt and I suggest that you make it available to each borrower./ Sincerely yours,/ Claude R. Wickard/ Secretary." Attached to Secretary Wickard's letter is a June 15, 1942 letter on The White House Washington stationery, signed by FDR [by autopen] addressed to Secretary Wickard. The letter reads, in part, "My dear Mr. Secretary:/ During the present war period it is important that we try to avoid unnecessary hardships such as were experienced by farmers and others during and following the first World War. By adopting suitable safeguards now, many of these hardships can be averted./....I cannot emphasize too strongly the need for a continuation of this constructive policy by the Farm Credit Administration and its cooperating borrowers./ Sincerely yours,/ Franklin D. Roosevelt" [signed by autopen]. Very interesting and historic letter as it pertains to domestic policy concerning the welfare of farmers during World War II.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
