In FDR's own hand in its entirety, an autograph letter signed on Fidelity and Deposit Company of Maryland letterhead, dated May 1, 1928. FDR writes: "My Dear Miss Riehle,/ It has been very satisfactory to have you do my stenographer work and typewriting at Warm Springs this winter and spring and I am very glad to recommend you to others, and I hope that when I return you can resume the work./ Very truly yours,/ Franklin D. Roosevelt." FDR writes a personal note, in his own hand, to a Warm Springs, Georgia resident who was very helpful to him keeping up with the many correspondences he received daily shortly before his first election as Governor of New York in 1928. Research at the Franklin D. Roosevelt Library in Hyde Park, New York indicates that Mr. John Riehle held the position as "Brace Shop Manager" at Warm Springs, Georgia, and in 1939 that position was terminated as a result of cost-saving reorganization plans at the Georgia Warm Springs Foundation.  FDR also agreed to be a personal reference for Mr. Riehle once the position was eliminated.  Possibly "Miss Riehle" was a daughter or sister of John Riehle. Other information indicates that John Riehle was also one of the mechanics who worked on FDR's automobile. Mr. Riehle worked with a Mr. Ralph Hardy and helped with the retrofitting of FDR's car so it could be operated by hand. A fabulous personal letter in FDR's own hand.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
