(2) John Wolcott Phelps Partial Document Thrice Signed as Lt. 4th Artillery dated 1845. (3) Union Colonel (Future General) Darius N. Couch Autograph Endorsement Signed. The document is an itemized invoice for military equipage from Camp Kalorama, D.C., on July 31, 1861. (4) Samuel Wells Williams Retained Copy of a Letter written as a member of the "Legation of the United States" in Peking, China, on June 19, 1865, to State Secretary William Seward. (5) Col. James A. Mulligan Letter Signed to Isaac Mask of Baltimore from New Creek, Virginia, on January 18, 1864. Documents bear some staining, folds, and other minor imperfections.
