Ellen Axton Wilson, First Wife of Woodrow Wilson Letter Signed "Ellen A. Wilson". One page written on the verso and recto, on her personal letterhead, 4.75" x 6.5", Princeton, New Jersey, November 2, 1912, to Miss Florence Crane, Baltimore, Maryland. Mrs. Wilson, soon to be First Lady, writes a loyal campaigner to thank her for presenting a campaign song. Ellen Wilson died in the White House on August 6, 1914 from the complications of Bright's disease. In addition to the usual folds, the letter has some minor splits in the crease which don't affect the text. Otherwise in very good condition.
