Elizabeth I, Queen of England Partial Document Signed. 7" x 6" (sight); no place, no date. Written in old French (untranslated), Elizabeth's large signature appears at the top of the document. An old catalog description that accompanies the document states that the content concerns an old political treaty which is to be signed, and directs an ambassador to be sent overseas. Also makes reference to ensuring the King's honor. The word "Roy" appears three times, as does the word "Ambassador" and "sea" are also present.

Matted alongside an engraving of Elizabeth to an overall size of 22" x 16". Although a partial document, it presents as a whole; and is ideal for display. The last full document signed by Elizabeth I that we have handled sold in 2013 for $28,680.

Condition: Gently toned, with a small tear at bottom. Document is affixed to the mat along top margin only.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
