Eight Gemini Astronauts First Day Cover Signed. A large philatelic cover, 9.5" x 4", with a Kennedy Space Center "First Day of Issue" cancellation on a se-tenant pair of Gemini 4 stamps (Scott #1331-1332) centered on the cover, September 29 1967. There are colorful cachets on both sides of the stamps and the following signatures: "Jim McDivitt", "Charles Conrad Jr" (1930-1999), "Dave Scott", "James Lovell", "Dick Gordon", "Gene Cernan", "Frank Borman", and "Wally Schirra" (1923-2007). While all of these astronauts flew on various Gemini flights, they also all flew during the Apollo program; three of them(Conrad, Scott, and Cernan) walked on the moon. A slight bit of wear and toning, else very fine.

Included with this lot is a PSA/DNA auction Letter of Authenticity.

We had a wonderful time in New York during the October 2013 Historical Manuscripts auction that featured my mother’s papers collected during her tenure as Martin Luther King, Jr.’s secretary. In fact, the entire experience from beginning to end has been a pleasure.
