    Edith Kermit Roosevelt Autograph Letter Signed as First Lady "Edith Kermit Roosevelt". Three pages, on her Sagamore Hill letterhead, 4.5" x 6.75", Oyster Bay, Long Island, July 30, 1906, to Captain Fitzhugh Lee, in care of Herbert Wadsworth, Avon, New Jersey, with the original transmittal envelope. With the usual fold creases and some splits in the creases, otherwise in very good condition.

    Mrs. Theodore Roosevelt writes a warm letter to Captain Fitzhugh Lee, son of General Fitzhugh Lee, regarding train schedules in preparation of an upcoming visit and of a pair of horses given to the Roosevelts by Lee. She writes, in part: "The horses are both doing finely...I am sure you will think your chargers are in good condition."
