David Ben-Gurion Autograph Letter Signed. One page, 5.75" x 7.75", in Hebrew, January 25, 1955. Addressed to Moshe Sharett, the prime minister of Israel, Ben-Gurion discusses his concerns regarding Israel's mode of elections, in full and in translation: "The nations that follow the idea of local elections - England, America, Canada, Australia, New Zealand - are strong democratic places who guard the freedom of the individual. We inherited the mode of elections from the international committee which in its time was perhaps necessary. This way of doing things is likely to divide the nation. The platform of election divides the nation and destroys the stance of protection from national crises and will create a schism between those that are elected by the people and the voters."

One month after writing this letter, Ben-Gurion, who had earlier served as Israel's first prime minister, returned to government and re-assumed the position of minister of defense (a post in which he had earlier served from 1948 until 1954). In November 1955, he was again elected prime minister and remained in that post until 1963.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
