    Description

    Chester A. Arthur Signed Program for the unveiling of the Statue of George Washington on Wall Street. Printed on three pages of a bifolium, 5" x 8". New York; November 26, 1883. Arthur is listed sixth on the program, accepting "the Statue on behalf of the Government." Boldly signed, "Chester A. Arthur" on the third page. Together with a signature and sentiment on lined paper, 5" x 4": "Very faithfully yours Chester A. Arthur." From the Estate of Malcolm S. Forbes.
    Condition: The program has a few light ink stains on the exterior, and flattened folds and light soiling. Signature and sentiment are near fine, displaying gentle toning.
