Charles Lindbergh Typed Letter Signed "Charles A. Lindbergh." One page, 8.5" x 11", Boston, March 1, 1928. In the years following his historic flight, Lindbergh used his fame to promote the expansion of aviation as an alternative to the train for long distance travel. Here he writes to an unknown recipient regarding possible plans to expand the airport at Boston. In full:

"The Boston Airport has, in my opinion, wonderful opportunities for development and should prove of distinct benefit to Boston. Under present conditions, however, it is too small for any large development of aviation here. I understand there is a plan by which the State will make it possible for the City of Boston to develop the Airport, and I sincerely hope it may be possible for such a plan to be carried out."

Unevenly toned with weakened folds separating at the edges. Lower right corner is slightly damaged; lightly stained near the upper edge, not affecting the text.
