    Charles Lindbergh Flight Cover Signed "C.A. Lindbergh". 6.5" x 3.5". Air Mail envelope, stamp cancelled November 24, 1931. Hand stamped, "First Flight... Canal Zone - USA / Nov. 25, 1931." Addressed to a "Mr. J. T. Trippe" of New York.

    Following his monumental trans-Atlantic crossing, Charles Lindbergh championed a campaign to open an express airmail route from Miami to Cristobal Colón (Panama Canal Zone) with stops in Havana, Cuba, and Puerto Cabezas, Nicaragua. Lindbergh served as pilot on the inaugural run, flying a Sikorsky S-38 to complete the route.

    Matted and framed with a black and white photograph of Lindbergh dressed in civilian clothes standing next to the Spirit of St. Louis, to an overall size of 10.75" x 16.5".

    Condition: Light wear at edges and minimal toning, else very good.
