Book signed by the first man in space.

Yuri Gagarin Signed Autobiography The Road to Space, Inscribed to a Soviet Rear Admiral. ДОРОГА В КОСМОС (Moscow, 1961), 238 pages, blue cloth with silver stamped front cover and spine, 5.25" x 8". Signed on the free front endpaper (translated from Russian): "To Rear Admiral Vorkov, Sergei Stepanovich with deep respect and best wishes. Gagarin 4 September '62". Yuri Gagarin (1934-1968) was, of course, the first man to travel into space on Vostok 1, April 12, 1961, making him a national hero in the Soviet Union. He signed this book the very next year to Vorkov, a Ph.D in Military Marine Services and who would later write several naval books. A very good copy with what appears to be a partial dust jacket glued to the front pastedown.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
