    Description

Susan B. Anthony Autograph Letter Signed "Susan B. Anthony." Three and one-half pages, 5.5" x 8.5", on "National Woman Suffrage Association" letterhead, Rochester, September 17, 1887. Written to Senator Henry W. Blair of New Hampshire, Anthony asks for "some of your speech - & of the full Senate Report" for use at upcoming conventions at which she will be speaking. She also writes: "Now if you cannot get the pamphlets mailed to me, you can write a letter to be read at the State Annual Meetings...to show that you have an eye on their good work." Two vertical folds which are weakened and separating at the edges; some toning around the margin. Anthony's signature is bold with some slight smudging on the "y." Fine.
