    Robert Baden-Powell Autograph Letter Signed. Two pages, 4.25" x 5.5", July 11, 1910, n.p., to "Mrs. Hastie", with references to the Boy Scouts. Contains penciled notations .5" below signature; hinged with tape to a larger page. Very good.

    More Information:

    Baden-Powell (1857-1941), a hero in the Boer War and the founder of the Scout movement in 1908, writes in part: "I am afraid that those Scouts must have been a great infliction upon you, but it was a happy outing for them & that must compensate you to some extent. Thank you so much for all your kindness to them & to me."
