Mercury Seven Astronauts: Photo Page from Martin Caidin's The Astronauts Book Signed by All, Directly from the Personal Collection of NASA Flight Controller Manfred "Dutch" von Ehrenfried. A 5.25" x 8" page (92) excised from the 1960 book about the first seven men chosen by NASA to serve as astronauts. The page is titled "The Project Mercury Astronauts" and bears B&W images, each approximately 1.5" x 2.25", of all seven astronauts in their NASA business suit poses. They have each signed beneath their respective image with early forms of their signatures, as follows: "John H. Glenn, Jr", "Virgil I Grissom" (1926-1967), "Alan B Shepard Jr" (1923-1998), "Leroy G Cooper Jr" (1927-2004), "M. Scott Carpenter", "Walter M Schirra Jr" (1923-2007), and "Donald K, Slayton" (1924-1993). The right side of the page is uneven, there is a miniscule wormhole affecting the bottom of the "G" in Grissom, and the bottom edge is slightly dampstained for about 1.5" affecting the Schirra signature only a bit. Otherwise, a very nice, vintage set from the collection of an important NASA insider.

The pre and post sales experience was wonderful and flawless. Heritage has the best in-house operation I have ever seen and their people are not only professional but fun to work with, especially Steve C.

As for Heritage's online system… Yes the interface is more complex than what we are used to with SAN but what is behind that interface is amazing for sellers and buyers alike. It is real time and for a real serious auction buyer there is nothing better in the auction industry, bar none.
