    Large Lot of Prominent American Autographs. An important and diverse group assembled primarily in the 1920s and 1930s by Ewing Sadler of Oklahoma. Highlights include: A card, 2.5" x 4.5", signed by abolitionist publisher William Lloyd Garrison, Boston, October 1, 1869; a SP, 8.0" x 10.0", of New York Mayor Fiorello La Guardia with original postal cover from his office; a TLS by J.Edgar Hoover, February 1, 1967, on his FBI letterhead; a SP, 8.5" x 11.5", of Henry Cabot lodge with original mailing cover; a TLS by labor boss John L. Lewis, October 28, 1937, on his United Mine Workers letterhead with original cover; a large, 2.0" x 5.5", clipped signature by composer Irving Berlin; a Signed Postcard of social reformer Jane Addams with a second signature on a Hull House letterhead, with matching postal cover; in addition to the above, there are approximately fifty additional signed items of prominent individuals ranging from clipped signatures to signed letters. Worthy of examination and further research. The items in this group average Fine condition overall.. Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.
