Konstantin Tsiolkovsky 1883 Autograph Manuscript Signed, with "Free Space" Drawing. Four pages consisting of two 5.125" x 8" leaves bound together by twine, pages 19-22 of a larger article, dated 1883 and signed on the second page. An extremely important document from the "Father of Aeronautics". This early drawing of a spaceship shows cosmonauts in weightlessness, gyroscopes, and an airlock. In 1883, he was already working on the possibility of living in space and the effects of zero gravity. A similar drawing is shown in the French language book found in the following lot. A second drawing is located on the fourth page of this article. Dampstained with some damage at lower left corner, otherwise good condition.
