    James McKim Autograph Letter Signed. "Jas. McKim."Two pages, on Pennsylvania Freedmen's Relief Association letterhead, 5" x 8", Philadelphia, July 11 (1864). James Miller McKim (1810-1874) was a well-known abolitionist and Presbyterian minister. After the execution of John Brown, he supported the Brown family and recruited black troops for use during the war. Aside from the usual fold creases, there is one minor stain on the bottom left corner. Else in very fine condition.
