Jack Ruby Autograph Note. Many Dallas police officers used to frequent the Carousel Club in Dallas Texas. This club was owned by the infamous Jack Ruby, the man who shot and killed Lee Harvey Oswald. This fact, and many others, have been the source of numerous conspiracy theories regarding the assassination of John F. Kennedy and Lee Harvey Oswald. This lot features a note written by Jack Ruby, and is on three sheets of small notepad paper. Each page has handwriting on only one side. The first page is missing its upper left corner, so it is unclear to whom the note is written, or how it begins. However, the content is intriguing! In part it reads, "I hurriedly closed the door of the car and dashed across the streeto (sic) the club and as I had always done had the pistol on my right hand pocket. One of the fellows drinking beer on the sidewalk who was with another companion made a remark, such as, Jack do you have your pistol with you, and I didn't answer him and dashed into the club." The mention of Ruby carrying his pistol as something of an every day occurrence is extremely intriguing and fascinating. Could this be the same pistol he used when he stepped out of the shadows and gunned down Oswald?

These three 6" x 4" sheets are in good condition aside from the missing piece on the first page. The note is penned in pencil, but is dark and legible. An interesting and intriguing lot, sure to spark many conversations about 'ol "Sparky!" Accompanied by LOA from PSA/DNA.

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
