Helen Keller Autograph Note Signed Laid-into Dr. A. Edward Newton's Copy of Helen Keller's The Story of My Life. New York: Doubleday, Page & Company, 1905. On a beautiful 6.5" by 5" Christmas card, Keller has written a lovely message to Dr. Newton, which reads, "Dear Dr Newton, / Christmas / wishes warm and bright have / power to crown old Winter's / head with flowers and fill our / hearts with forward-looking / hope. Happily I greet you. / Helen Keller. / Christmas 1935." Octavo. 441 pages. Publisher's maroon cloth with gilt titles. With Dr. Newton's Oak Knoll bookplate affixed to the front pastedown. Minor wear to binding. Spine lightly sunned. Textblock cracked at page 112. Some text edges roughly opened. Overall, very good copy with a wonderful message of Christmas cheer from the amazing Helen Keller to the most famous of modern book collectors.
