    Description

    Harrison Schmitt Typed Letter Signed with Seven Articles. Directly from the Ed White II family collection. A one page letter on 8" x 10.5" NASA letterhead, Washington, D.C., January 10, 1975. It reads, in part: "Some twenty-odd months have passed since we last communicated and then only visually at the launch of Apollo 17... A considerable portion of my time has been spent trying to transfer my impressions of the results and significance of Apollo to people throughout the world... In order to bring you up to date on my thoughts in these areas, I am enclosing copies of several papers I have written..." It is signed at the close: "Jack Schmitt". Seven of Dr. Schmitt's articles are included with titles such as: "Apollo 17 Report on the Valley of Taurus-Littrow," "A New View of Earth and History," "The Progeny of Skylab", and "Evolution of the Moon: The 1974 Model". Envelope of transmittal included. Letter in very fine condition.
