    Gene Cernan Large Signed Color Photograph, 10.75" x 14.75", matted to 15.5" x 19.5". Inscribed on lower mat to Joe Garino's wife, Dorothy "To Snooky/ My Very Best/ & Sincere Wishes/ Gene Cernan." Dorothy had, at times, sewn the patches on various astronauts' flight suits. Inscription and signature very light but legible. Cernan is shown outside the Gemini 9 spacecraft as he logged 2 hours 10 minutes in extravehicular activities, becoming the second American to walk in space. He later walked on the moon (Apollo 17). Framed to 17.5" x 21.5". Fine condition. From the collection of renowned former physical trainer of the astronauts Joe Garino. This lot is accompanied by a signed certificate of authentication from Garino verifying its provenance.
