    Description

    Charles Lindbergh Typed Letter Signed "C. A. Lindbergh." One page, 8.5" x 11", on his personal letterhead, New York, April 16, 1931, to Mr. Richard W. Robbins, Pittsburgh. Lindbergh declines an invitation to attend an air meet. In full:

    "Thank you for your letter of April 13th. I very appreciate your extending me the invitation to come to Harrisburg on May 16th for the Benefit Air Meet for the Junior League, and I sincerely regret that previous engagements will make it impossible for me to be present at this Meet. I hope you will convey my thanks to Mr. Stackpole and the Junior League for their consideration in inviting Mrs. Lindbergh and me."

    Toned, with a framing shadow, a small stain at the lover edge, the usual folds, and a small taped repair on the verso, else a bright, bold signature in very good condition.
