Charles Lindbergh Autograph Letter Signed. One and one-half pages, 4.75" x 6.25", "Embassy of the United States of America," November 22, 1928, to "Mrs. Breckenridge" concerning travel plans. A little over a year after making the first trans-Atlantic flight from New York to Paris in the Spirit of St. Louis, aviator Lindbergh writes this letter concerning his upcoming travel plans. The letter, toned and affixed to a slightly larger backing, reads in part:

"I had expected to be in New York about this time, but due to a storm over the gulf and resulting thick weather between here and Tampico I am still in Mexico City. . . . If the mountains become passable I expect to leave for Tampico in the morning, and after spending a day there I will take off for New York."

Lindbergh's missive is accompanied by an Emil Ludwig Typed Letter Signed. Two pages, 5.25" x 7.75", n.p., n.d., to "Col. Breckenridge" asking to be introduced to Charles Lindbergh. Mildly toned with very minor stains. The German author, who was visiting America on a fact-finding mission, writes:

"Just returning from a visit to Mr. Edison in Florida I am now anxious to complete my American impressions about which I am writing in meeting Colonel Lindbergh who is now considered in Germany the most famous American. I would be very happy if I could meet the Colonel today or tomorrow."

This was my first time dealing with an auction house, and I am 100% completely impressed with Heritage. There is not an aspect of this process that I have a critique for.
