    Challenger Crew STS-51L Autograph Collection. On January 28, 1986, 73 seconds after liftoff, the Challenger space shuttle and her crew were lost after an explosion due to an o-ring failure in the right solid rocket booster. Comprises six 5" x 3" index cards, each bearing a U.S. space stamp, each signed by an STS-51 crew member: Commander "Dick Scobee," Pilot "Michael,/ Best Wishes/ Mike Smith," Mission Specialists "Judith A. Resnik," "Ellison Onizuka," and "Ron McNair/ NASA Astronaut," and Payload Specialist "S. Christa McAuliffe." The stamp Resnik signed pictures a space shuttle launch. Six items.
